It depends on the complexity of the project.
To give you a rough idea, I will take at least one day for doing a graphic research that will lead to the sketches I will submit to you in order to chose the one you want for the final illustration. I will then draw the final sketch, submit it to you to be sure everything is like you intended and I will create illustration. At the end, I will send it to you at low resolution for you to review. If approved, I will then deliver the final image to you.
For one illustration with lineart, colours and shadows and with up to 5 graphical elements of simple to medium complexity, you can count one working day (consider the Inserm comic panels, as an example).
If you have an idea or a sketch to sublit to me, then you will gain in time and money, since I will skip the “graphical research” phase.
For urgent commissions, I will apply an extra fee.
NO and I will never do.
In addition, at the end of our collaboration, I will provide you with a signed authenticity certificate resuming my creative process to create your illustrations.
Your data are secret and I offcially engage not to speak about your research and not to share online the visuals I have created for you with anyone until your work will be published.
Of course!
If you are based in Lyon, we can discuss in person in your lab or office, otherwise I will be happy to organize a video conference with you!
I can speak Italian (my native language), French and English, I am sure we can find a way to communicate!
Yes and no.
The only difference is that I will not do any changes on the illustration (unless it is not a minor correction), otherwise I will consider it as a new project illustration for which I will prepare a new quote for you.

You can purchase them.
If you are looking just for visual assets to use for creating your own illustrations, I can create a collection of them in a vector file and I will teach you the basics of the software in order you to be able modifying the elements.
